CABJ Programs

cabj media startup bootcamp

The Canadian Association of Black Journalists (CABJ) recognizes the need to support journalists working outside of Canadian newsrooms. We have seen an increasing number of Black content creators and entrepreneurs who are working as digital storytellers outside of traditional media. The CABJ Media Startup Bootcamp will help to grow the ranks of Black content creators by equipping them with the tools and knowledge they need to build and launch their own platforms. The program is led by experienced instructors who have successfully launched their own media startups.

J-School Noire

An educational program designed to introduce Black youth in grades 9-12 to the field of journalism, with the ultimate goal of encouraging them to apply to journalism programs and eventually pursue careers in the field.
